A past client reached out about her dining room recently. A couple of years ago we papered the room but she contacted me because she felt that the existing table and chairs were a little too formal for their lifestyle. The pieces were passed down in the family so they wanted to keep them but to reimagine them to better suit their lifestyle. @rail_and_stile lacquered the chairs for us and we added a fun fabric to the chair seats. But one of the best changes to me was that we refinished the existing table to remove the glossy topcoat so that it was more casual and they didn’t have to constantly worry about not scratching the finish. Now games and homework can take place in the space just as easily as dinners.

We are turning a utility room off a client’s kitchen into a chic scullery. I think the end result is going to be one of my favorite transformations ever when we finish. We already selected the cabinetry, hardware and countertops but I presented them with several options for wallpaper and fabric for a window treatment. These were the shortlisted selections…

This was a fun update picture to receive from a client today. I cannot take credit for all the design work on this - I was in an advisory role as she worked through making the decisions on tile, trim, wallpaper, color, etc. I’m thrilled with how beautifully it turned out for them!

I have found purple to be a polarizing color for clients. You either love it or hate it. I love it - a mix of two of my favorite colors and I love it even more when paired with with one of those colors like the blue here.

Rewiring the electrical for an overhead sconce meant we could use a bigger mirror which makes the space feel bigger. And you can never go wrong with this paper. Swipe for the before.

This one was a race to the finish line but for a very important reason…my client wanted the room finished in time for baby girl’s newborn pics in the room. We started their room back in a previous house with window treatments and euro shams but this time around we added a new bed, lamps, dresser, ceiling fan, art and a custom bolster to finish everything off. A quick recap of our recent Florida project. @anderson.delana and I rented the biggest SUV we could find and packed it to the gills with allll the custom pillows and accessories and drove down to Inslet Beach for a whirlwind two day install. We had a blast and our clients were very happy with the end results (as were we!).

Bummed I didnt think to take a before picture for this renovated shares boy/girl kids bath but it turned out super cute. It was the floor tile that was an immediate yes for me (and thankfully my client) followed by the adorable multi-colored fish scale tile.

A lovely living room refresh for an even lovelier family. We gave the room a soft new wall color, added all new furniture and a beautiful rug, added grasscloth to the shelves and gave them a fresh restyle.

A photographer I am not and I hate it because this was a favorite space in the Florida project. I knew this coral paper was going to be beautiful but it turned out even more stunning than I had imagined. I love the mix of the traditional paper with the modern vanity, mirror, sconces and hardware. And @anderson.delana and I happened to find the perfect little coral accessory, soap dispenser and rug while on a whirlwind shopping expedition on day 2 of the install.

I used the snow/ice as a chance to hibernate and slow down go a few days and so while I’m ready for the kids to go back to school tomorrow, I’ve also loved us all being home together with an excuse to do nothing.
