I'm Scheming (of) A Colorful Christmas

Happy Holidays! See what I did there with that title?! Ba dum dum. I have been so lucky to be so busy this fall with so many exciting projects that I cannot wait to finish up and photograph. While we wait for all of the furniture and finishing touches to arrive, here are some spaces that I am currently working on.

This first scheme is a living room for a client that I've been working with for a while now. The room was a literal blank slate which was a lot of fun. I was also so thrilled when she branched out a little from her usual blue and green and incorporated these rich jewel tones. A lot of the pieces are in but we are waiting for built-ins that are being installed hopefully in January as well as lamps and side tables. I truly adore how this room is shaping up!

This next scheme is also for a client's living room and this image was where we started but it has morphed slightly. We built the room to incorporate their existing living room rug which was really pink heavy so we brought in blues and browns to ground it and are using accent fabrics with pinks to tie back to the rug and to brighten it up. The room is clad in dark paneling so the lighter colors really help it from feeling too masculine or stodgy for this young family.

An adorable bonus room for a new hangout for some tween girls that is complete but I just need to get a good photo! These may be some of my favorite curtains I've ever done!

This scheme is for a client's family room in Wake Forest. They moved here from out of state and the style of their former home is quite different from the feel of the new home so they wanted a living room to evoke the feel of the new space - cozy, cottagey and comfortable.

This space is for MOM and I am here for it! This client has a living area up in the front of her home that is the space you walk into when you come into their home. The new rug is on order, their existing ottoman has been recovered and we have new custom pillows. We just have to iron out the new sofa color and then that space will be ready!

A super fun powder room refresh - my client had already selected several papers that she loved but needed some help making the decision to pull the trigger. We are just waiting for the new powder room light to be installed and that fun space will be finished.

This one is all officially on order and I am THRILLED about it. We decided on this great scheme and then I found this rug and was so happy my client went for it because it is gorgeous and going to be the perfect anchor for the space.

And last but certainly not least, I have been working with this client on several other spaces and it is such a joy because she adores color and isn't afraid of a little maximalism. New living room is on order - we have a new rug, we are recovering the two couches, replacing the chairs, adding a custom ottoman and of course the most fun pillows ever!
